Mental Illness

by Rohit Yelamanchili

When we say a person has a particular mental illness, the goal should be understanding. They exhibit certain behaviors. We can assign a name to that collection of behaviors. We can help them find others who have experienced something similar. We can offer guidance based on what has worked for us.

We don’t try to put them into buckets. They are people.

We don’t mistake the names we have come up with for causes.
